As an Individual
As consumers, we do not need to accept trade injustice. By making the simple decision to switch to Fairtrade Certified products we can, while shopping, help create a more just society for those who produce our goods.
Every time we purchase a Fairtrade product and encourage others to do the same we are not only ensuring that producers are receiving a better deal, but we are also joining a growing, global movement.
Make the switch – every action counts.
Switch at home: Start by switching one household product for its Fairtrade counterpart. Try Fairtrade coffee, tea, hot chocolate or chocolate.
Choose Fairtrade coffee in a café –use our online database to find out which coffee companies and cafes use Fairtrade certified coffee. If there are no cafes in your local hot spots ask. We have Demand Cards and other promotional material that you can order to hand over to your local cafe.
Fair Trade Gifts: The next time you are tasked with buying a gift, think about maybe giving an ethically traded gift – check out the list of organisations that sell WFTO handicrafts
