It was recently announced that The Day Chocolate Company, makers of Divine Chocolate, is now owned exclusively by the Kuapa Kokoo Farmers Cooperative in Ghana and Twin Trading, a nonprofit development organization. One of the original investors in The Day Chocolate Company, The Body Shop (which is now partially owned by L'Oreal) has made the excellent decision to donate all their shares to the Kuapa Kokoo Cooperative.

This means more money from the sale of Divine Chocolate will flow to the cocoa growers in Ghana, enabling them to invest further in social, economic and environmental development of their villages.
